Philosophy
Unlike most other companies providing software solutions for gaming, our singular focus is casino operations analytics. When you engage with us, you will find a professional, dedicated, and responsive team. We also work diligently to keep your costs low. We strive to continually improve our service and do not charge additional fees for version upgrades or software support.
Evolution
Our beta site was Barona Casino, operating 2,000+ machines near San Diego, CA, where we spent over a year testing and proving the value of our underlying analytical processes. This was before we had the user interface application, just spreadsheets of data—nothing pretty. Barona realized we were on to something special, and they started to change their thinking about slot analytics. This was because what we were doing was so different, but it also made a lot of sense. Today, Barona is still using the service and achieving great results.
After proving we had an analytical process that could really drive improved results, we next architected our user-interface application and named it Slotfocus. Version 1.0 was released in late 2011, and we completed our first new deployment on New Year's Eve that year. In 2012, we continued to add new subscribers, mostly by referral, and rolled out some process and feature enhancements. In late 2012, we mapped out some major changes and enhancements for a 2013 release of version 2.0. In late of 2014, we took a major leap forward by migration our user-interface platform to Tableau (a great data visualization tool) and debuted version 4.0 at G2E in Las Vegas to tremendous praise.

Leadership
Slotfocus was originally developed by William Dunn, an internationally recognized industry leader in advanced casino analytics who literally wrote the book on slot performance analysis and developed the well-known seminar he teaches regularly through UNLV and CDC.
Dunn received an MBA from UNLV and has over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry. He worked on the Las Vegas Strip from 1999 to 2003 then with Barona Casino in Southern California from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, he formed Dunn Gaming Solutions, a casino data analytics company based in Las Vegas, NV. Dunn is also an academically published casino data researcher and affiliate of the International Gaming Institute at UNLV where his field expertise is regularly tapped as a featured speaker and seminar instructor. He leads the Slotfocus organization, managing analytics and development.
